Afterthought: Simply legal, please - and the Spanish bureaucratic jungle will no longer be Greek to you
Information event of the law firms Wessing & Partner, Bufete Hispano-Alemán and RSV Rechtsanwälte on 3 October 2014 in Palme de Mallorca meets with great interest.
In Club Diario de Mallorca, rather busy with over 50 listeners, lectures on current issues of tax law and criminal tax law for Germans in Spain were on the program.
After an entertaining welcome by Prof. Dr. Jürgen Wessing, Dr. Manuel Stiff discussed the current developments and tax implications of the European inheritance law. Then Rainer Biesgen spoke about the criminal tax risks for German property owners in Spain – a red-hot topic due to the reorganization of the information exchange between Spanish and German authorities from the 1 January 2015 on.
Carlos Vázquez Sarazá presented the possibilities and risks of the legalisation of illegal constructions and clarified the specifics of Matriculación tax. Dr. Ingo Bott shed light on the criminal tax risks for Germans not only but especially abroad using case studies and explained when and in what manner these risks can be countered by sensible voluntary disclosure. In addition, Bárbara Román Mendez dealt with current criminal tax law problems on the Iberian Peninsula.
After exciting professional discussions, the evening ended in a relaxed atmosphere with tinto and tapas.
If you are interested in the presentation documents on the event and/or would like to indicate interest in participating in 2015 already, please send an e-mail to Dr. Ingo Bott at firstname.lastname@example.org.
