(University of Glasgow), as a new attorney to the team, effective September 1, 2026. She advises and represents individuals and companies in all areas of commercial and tax criminal law.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWith Corinna Hannig, we are gaining a colleague who focused on criminal law early in her studies and has consistently deepened her expertise in this field through positions in Frankfurt, Glasgow, and Tbilisi,\u201d says Prof. Dr. Heiko Ahlbrecht, partner at Wessing &amp; Partner. \u201cThis combination of academic excellence and practical\u2014including international\u2014experience is an excellent fit for our team.\u201d <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Corinna Hannig, LL.M. (University of Glasgow), focused on criminal law during her studies at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz and gained practical experience as a research assistant at a law firm in Frankfurt am Main specializing in commercial and tax criminal law. She went on to earn an LL.M. with honors from the University of Glasgow, writing her master\u2019s thesis on international criminal law. She completed her legal clerkship in the district of the Frankfurt am Main Higher Regional Court, including placements at a major international law firm in the field of white-collar crime and at the German Embassy in Tbilisi, Georgia. Both during her legal clerkship and after its completion, she also worked on her doctoral dissertation in the field of criminal asset forfeiture at Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI was impressed by the breadth of expertise and depth of knowledge of the Wessing &amp; Partner team in commercial and tax criminal law. I am very much looking forward to contributing my academic and international experience to advising and defending our clients in the future,\u201d says Corinna Hannig, LL.M.
