Dr. Anna-Elisabeth Krause-Ablaß

Anna Krause-Ablaß advises and represents companies and individuals in all areas of commercial and criminal tax law. Her many years as a national and EU prosecutor have given her a deep insight into the thought and decision-making processes of the criminal prosecution authorities. Anna uses this knowledge not only when advising and defending clients in investigations, but also when defending clients in court proceedings. Another focus of her work as a former public prosecutor is the implementation and coordination of internal investigations.

Anna started her professional career in 2008 as a lawyer in the field of corporate law before joining the Hessian judiciary. There she initially worked as a judge in civil matters, followed by 11 years as a public prosecutor in the area of commercial and criminal tax law, interrupted by a six-month secondment to the European Commission in Brussels. This was followed by an assignment as European Delegated Prosecutor to the newly established European Public Prosecutor’s Office, where she worked for almost 3 years before switching sides in 2024 and joining Flick Gocke Schaumburg as a lawyer and Associate Partner. Anna Krause-Ablaß has been a partner at Wessing & Partner since May 2026. She advises her clients in German, English and French.
